ATLANTA — Atlanta Police say a driver has died after being ejected from his vehicle in an accident in Buckhead on Sunday evening.
Officer C.J. Johnson said the crash happened around 7:15 p.m. in the area of Piedmont and Alpine roads.
One driver told police that the victim was traveling at high speed when he hit another vehicle. The speeding vehicle then flipped and ejected the driver.
The injured driver was then taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died. The other driver is said to be stable.
The Atlanta Police Department Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and is working to figure out exactly how the accident occurred.
