FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A garbage truck struck an overpass near Riverside Drive on I-285 West early Wednesday morning, causing delays along the top-end Perimeter.
It happened near Riverside Drive. 11Alive Traffic Tracker Crash Clark reports a garbage truck struck the overpass at Mt. Vernon Hwy. -- a problem spot where the overpass has been struck on prior occasions.
The Georgia Department of Transportation indicated there was debris being cleared in the roadway and around 7 a.m. two lanes were closed on the interstate.
It was unclear if there were any injuries in the wreck.
Delays were stretching far along I-285 West, past back before GA-400.
