ATLANTA — Storms are expected to come through metro Atlanta this morning, meaning the roads are wet, and that the morning rush could bring issues to your commute.

8:50 a.m. | Crash on I-75 North at Old Dixie Road has a lane blocked.

8:30 a.m. | Stalled truck on I-285 South before Hollowell Parkway causing a slowdown.

8:10 a.m. | Also keep an eye out for an exit lane blocked on I-85 North to Pleasantdale Rd. GDOT reports a stalled vehicle there.

8:10 a.m. | Couple left lanes blocked with this wreck on I-285 East, top end Perimeter at Powers Ferry Road.

7:45 a.m. | Cobb DOT relaying an injury crash on Cobb Parkway at 3rd Army Rd. north of Acworth.

7:30 a.m. | GDOT reports downed power lines on GA-61 blocking a lane in Dallas (just up from the intersection where West and East Memorial Dr. meet).

Also south of Dallas on GA-61, debris blocking a lane near Cedar Creek Dr.

7:15 a.m. | One to watch out for on I-285 West at Roswell Road.

7:00 a.m. | Avoid GA-34 East outside of Newnan, with tree limbs closing that roadway.

6:50 a.m. | Lanes closed heading inbound on MLK Jr. Drive along the overpass above I-285. We haven't confirmed what happened at this time but a bus has been stopped and emergency personnel were on scene earlier.

6:45 a.m. | Rains beginning to enter the inner metro area, watch out on the interstates!

6:40 a.m. | Lanes are clear in that I-285 wreck.

6:05 a.m. | Two left lanes and shoulder blocked on I-285 North at Lavista Road after a crash. GDOT estimating an end time of 6:30 a.m.

5:20 a.m. | Lanes have reopened in the I-85 incident. 

5:15 a.m. | In a significant red alert on the roads already around 5 a.m., I-85 South is closed in Union City just before Flat Shoals Road.

Georgia Department of Transportation traffic cameras show that backup is extending almost as far back as I-285. GDOT anticipated a clearing time of 5:30 a.m.
