GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — People in Gwinnett County and areas outside Athens are waking up Monday to flash flood warnings that will be in effect through the mid-morning.
The National Weather Service issued one warning for areas including Duluth, Snellville and Lilburn until 10 a.m.
Other counties with flash flood warnings in effect include:
- Walton
- Morgan
- Greene
- Oconee
- Oglethorpe
Outside our viewing area, Wilkes County and Taliaferro County also have flash flood warnings in effect.
The warnings follow on heavy rains overnight. More showers and storms could be on the way this afternoon, with much of Georgia under a Level 1 severe weather threat for Monday.
