According to GasBuddy.com, about 13 percent of the gas stations around metro Atlanta are reported to be out of gas at this point.
Many others indicate they have a limited supply of fuel -- most of them saying they only have regular.
In other areas of the state, the number of gas stations without fuel varies:
- Macon, GA: 12%
- Albany, GA: 15%
- Columbus, GA: 16%
- Augusta, GA: 21%
- Thomasville, GA: 26%
- Savannah, GA: 32%
The percentage of gas stations without fuel increases as you go further south, with many more stations being out of fuel in Florida.
Both Gov. Nathan Deal in Georgia and Rick Scott in Florida are telling residents who evacuated not to be in a rush to head back home.
