17-year-old arrested in January DeKalb County robbery, murder case

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A teenager has been arrested six months after a man was robbed and killed in Decatur.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, they arrested 17-year-old Jarius Anderson in connection with the shooting death of Matthew McCullough.

Authorities issued warrants for his arrest on July 17. They allege that on Jan. 19, Anderson robbed McCullough of several electronic gaming devices. The victim was then shot in the back. The crime occurred on Golf Vista Circle.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Fugitive/SWAT Unit located and arrested the teen without incident at a Decatur residence and transported him to the DeKalb County Jail.
