Spanx founder : Want to borrow my wedding dress?

The Georgia entrepreneur went to social media asking for brides whose wedding days have been postponed.

ATLANTA — Could you use a wedding dress?

Sara Blakely, the woman behind the shapewear brand Spanx, is offering her gown for the greater good.

The Georgia entrepreneur went to social media asking for brides whose wedding days have been postponed because of social distancing measures taken for widespread coronavirus.

“My heart is breaking for all the brides out their having to cancel and postpone their special day so I thought why not offer my dress to more amazing women! Hoping this will possibly help ease someone’s plans during this time,” Blakely wrote.

Blakely married entrepreneur Jesse Itzler in October 2008 after meeting at a Las Vegas poker tournament two years prior.

According to Business Insider, the dress was her grandmother's wedding gown from 1918, that was restored.

This isn’t the first time Blakely has shared her cherished wedding gown.

Earlier in the post, Blakely mentions that she also shared with two other women.

“So if you’re a size 4 or 6 and want to borrow my wedding dress, comment below. Please tag anyone and everyone who needs to see this and feel free to share it,” Blakely wrote.
