FOREST PARK, Ga. — A person was shot and killed in an incident that started in Forest Park and ended on the interstate, Clayton County authorities said.
Forest Park Police said the shooting started at the Home Lodge Motel on Old Dixie Road in Clayton County and the victim ended up on I-675.
Forest Park Police said they got the call around 1:30 a.m. When police arrived on the scene, two witnesses told police they heard a gun battle outside.
Shortly after, a 30-year-old victim was found shot to death in the passenger seat of an abandoned vehicle on I-675 at Ellenwood. Another victim connected to the shooting was discovered at DeKalb Medical Center. Forest Park Police and Clayton County Police are both working together on this shooting.
Authorities said anyone with information is asked to contact 911.
