ATLANTA — An 18-year-old was shot while attending an after-prom party in Atlanta, police said.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a person shot before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday at the 900 block of Moreland Drive SE.
When they arrived, they discovered a male victim was able to get to the hospital on his own and was in stable condition. When investigators followed up with him at the hospital, the 18-year-old said he was at an after-prom party at an Airbnb when he confronted three men in ski masks breaking into vehicles. According to police, the teen said he was shot following the confrontation.
Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
