AUSTELL, Ga – A 53-year-old woman was killed Saturday morning when a bus crashed into a truck that was carrying her and her nephew.
Josefina Ramos, 53, was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
Police say the crash happened on the East-West Connector at Mesa Valley Way. Hugo Ramos, 47, of Marietta, and Josefina Ramos were in a truck approaching the intersection when Hugo Ramos allegedly ran a traffic light.
A blue Goshen coach then slammed into the vehicle’s passenger side.
Hugo Ramos was also taken to the hospital suffering from injuries, where police say he is expected to survive.
The driver of the bus, Carlos Moring, 49, of Atlanta, and a female passenger also suffered injuries.
Police say they expect to file charges in the case.
