DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 7-year-old boy had to be rushed to the hospital after being shot by a stray bullet in DeKalb County, Sunday night.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, officers responded to the 2800 block of Misty Waters Drive around 9:20.
When they got there, they discovered that an argument between two groups of people escalated to gunfire being exchanged.
Police said a 7-year-old boy who was standing in the parking lot several feet away was hit in the arm by one the rounds fired.
Emergency officials took him to a local area hospital in critical but stable condition.
Police are still investigating the incident, and there have been no reports of an arrest being made yet.
