ATLANTA — Starting back in 2006, the Atlanta Sports Awards every year has sought to honor a singular figure who changed Atlanta sports forever with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Over the years that has included the sportsmen who've thrilled us, such as Dominique Wilkins and Chipper Jones, to titans of industry who left their mark on Atlanta's sports scene, like Ted Turner and Arthur Blank, to those who have made indelible sporting and social impacts alike - such as Hank Aaron and Andrew Young.
