7:40 a.m. UPDATE: A tractor trailer wreck has blocked multiple lanes on I-75 South at Windy Hill Road, 11Alive Traffic Tracker Crash Clark reports.

The morning rains are bringing traffic issues to metro Atlanta, most notably a wreck that has backed things up through Midtown.

The crash happened around 17th St., right before where I-75 and I-85 North split on the Downtown Connector.

At least two lanes were continuing to be blocked after all lanes were briefly stopped at one point.

11Alive Traffic Tracker Crash Clark recommends West Peachtree or Peachtree to get into Midtown.

An additional crash has also begun to slow things down in the southbound lanes going into Midtown.

As many as five other issues are contributing to the mess on the Connector.
