19-year-old from Marietta appears on 'The Voice'

He said his family is one of the reasons he grinds so hard. They were once homeless and he wants to be able to support him.

MARIETTA, Ga. — A 19-year-old from Marietta is pushing forward on NBC's hit show "The Voice."

Carter Lloyd Horne appeared on the show Monday night.

He said his family is one of the reasons he grinds so hard. They were once homeless and he wants to be able to support them through his music.

The last note he sang, coaches Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson turned around! He chose Blake's team.

He sang the song "Drinkin Problem."

In addition to Carter, Atlanta native Luna Searles appeared on the show. This was her second time auditioning but she didn't get a chair turn.

She tweeted that she had the best time on the season and thanked the coaches.
