ATLANTA — Police said they are investigating an accidental shooting in southwest Atlanta involving a child Tuesday afternoon.
Atlanta Police Department officers were called to a home along Largo Lane just before 1:30 p.m., not far from Deerwood Park.
In an update, APD said investigators believe it was a child between the ages of 10 and 12 who accidentally shot themselves. The preteen is stable and has been rushed to Children's Egleston Hospital.
Authorities have not offered any other details, however, they say they are still investigating.
