DALLAS, Ga. — Update: Paulding County Sheriff's deputies announced that Barbara Puett was found safe Tuesday morning at a local hotel.

Deputies are taking her to the hospital for evaluation.

Original Story: A 67-year-old woman is missing and police need the public's help finding her.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office issued a Mattie's Call for Barbara Puett Tuesday.

Deputies said that her family reported her missing on Monday after she left her home on Westminster Way in Dallas.

"Her family is concerned for her well-being," the sheriff's office said.

Puett has dementia, diabetes and stage 4 cancer, according to deputies.

She was last seen wearing a white and blue short sleeve shirt, dark blue leggings and black tennis shoes, deputies added.

After investigating, authorities found that the 67-year-old visited a business on Old Cartersville Road Monday afternoon.

Deputies said she then asked for a ride to a bus stop or hotel in Hiram or Cartersville.

After that, Puett was last seen getting into a newer model red Jeep Renegade SUV on Old Cartersville Road near GA 61 north.

Deputies are asking the public to call 911 if they have seen Puett. Residents can also send a message through the sheriff's office app.
