DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A major wreck blocked all lanes of I-20 West at Candler Rd. in DeKalb County for a time Thursday morning.
Traffic cameras showed that multiple emergency vehicles were on scene and keeping all lanes shut, before reopening traffic around 6:43 a.m.
"Motorist are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes. There is no estimated time of clearance at this time. Emergency responders are on scene," the Georgia Department of Transportation wrote in an alert.
The remnants of Hurricane Sally are moving across the metro Atlanta region Thursday morning and bringing with it heavy rains and dangerous conditions on the roads, so be careful out there.
