ATLANTA —
Super Bowl LIII will be a match up between the Rams and the Patriots that will go down in the heart of Atlanta in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The championship game will be played on Sunday Feb. 3 at 6 p.m.
After their overtime win against the New Orleans Saints to secure the NFC Championship, people started wondering when they played in the Super Bowl last. The last time the Rams played in the Super Bowl was right here in Atlanta in 2000. The Rams played the Tennessee Titans and won 23 – 16.
They played in the Super Bowl again in 2002 against the New England Patriots and lost 20 – 17. So, the 2019 Super Bowl could be a game of redemption for them.
Both of these Super Bowl appearances were when the Rams were in St. Louis. But, this year the team will play as the Los Angeles Rams after moving there post the 2015 season.
